Today is #MarketFriday!!!
My husband and I quite unexpectedly came to the fair in our city. We were on business in the city center and suddenly heard loud music. It became interesting to us! We realized that there was a holiday on the square. In the same place we saw playing children.
Tents were installed in the central square. What there just was not !!!!!!
Of all the variety, we were only interested in one thing: the Druze dishes! The Druze are the people who live mostly in the north of Israel on Mount Carmel. This people retains their beliefs and traditions; they have a very peculiar cuisine.
On such an oven Druze bake Druze cakes. The cakes are very large and thin. They are smeared with spices mixed with olive oil. You can order them and the woman will make tortillas right there before your very eyes.
My husband wanted to buy a bottle of olive oil. An elderly couple who sold it, said that this oil was pressed only yesterday. We have already bought this oil more than once, so my husband bought a bottle of olive oil without thinking :)
