Hello to all my creative art loving friends! I hope you are doing well!
I want to offer you an idea for a small but fun gift for friends. This is very easy to do but looks very impressive.
These are wine cork boats. We just got the idea to make them for those who are now studying with us in the courses. We take the most common wine corks.
Our task is to cut them in half lengthwise. So that the corks do not crumble and are easier to cut, you can boil them in water for 10 minutes and then cool. My husband didn't want to do it. He cut the corks dry.
Since we have a large class, we needed a lot of boats. Moreover, we decided to make them with a margin.
Next, we take acrylic paints (you can use any paints that you have). It's my job to paint boats. I wanted to make them blue in different shades.
Acrylic paints easily lay down on cork; I like to draw with them on this surface.
I paint the bottom of the boats with indigo blue paint, then with a lighter shade of blue I paint a stripe higher along the side of the boat, and paint the top with blue paint.
To make the boats look even more spectacular, I decided to cover them with a shiny nail polish after they dried.
It turned out very great!!!
It remains to take a white sheet of paper to write or draw on it whatever you want and attach this sail with a wooden toothpick to the boat.
We put a boat on a desk for each student. All the guys were delighted! We are very glad that we came up with such a gift to please them. 😀
