Did you ever wonder how come you were just talking to your friend
about a vacation in Hawaii or some other place, and your feed
begins to be full of vacation packages adds ?
Did you ever wonder how facebook knows to suggest you friendship
with some person you met at aparty?
Many people begin seeing wierd things happning of Facebook!!
so members of a pupolar televition show in israel “ live at night”
decided to conduct an experement .
facebook is the largest social network in the world , millions of people
are connected to it using smartphones , blind to see that someone or
something is listening to them , and selling their information to
companies that later advertise in adds on your feed.
How do I know its true ?
so summer 2017 tv show in israel “ Live at night” conducted an
experement .
They took many people (about 200) who are complete strangers to
each other, people from different cities and different background.
They divided them into small groups , and told them to talk between
each other about different subjects.
“ Don't open you facebook app , do not post anything just talk about
what I will tell you . Now i want you to talk to your future wedding”
None of them were really going to get married but they began
talking about where they want to get married, and about there
bachelor or bachelorette parties .
They were talking about what they want to wear , to eat and
where they want to go for their honeymoon .
It didnt take long for the adds to start appearing on thier feed.
Adds about dresses and about toksidos, about stuff for parties ,
events hall , all included honeymoon trips , and many other
things .
A friend of the system of the “live at night “ Ori sent his wife a
voice message on a Facebook chat , he ask her to find out about
a future vacation in ILAT.
“ Do you feel like takeing a vaction in Ilat , should we look at cheap
flights?”
he asked her and on a voice message on a facebook chat.
It didn't take long , about 30 minutes until his feed began filling up with
adds , from hotels and airlines .
So how is it possible ? Facebook does not give any personal
information, but specialists explain that facebook algorithm is able to
pick up trendy words from our conversations , not only on facebook but
also our voicemail , whatsapp , and chats .
for conclution the world is not privet anymore and what we say can
effect us .
sometimes is good to turn off the phone and put it away and have
some quality time disconnected from the net.
