I've been on the Maglev in Shanghai which clocks over 400k/ph! I just rode it for fun from the Airport to Pudong which is 30km. Given the speeds it reaches that doesn't take long! In fact, one of coolest things about riding the Maglev in that direction is you can see the massive skyscrapers way off in the distance and then in a blink of an eye they're right there in front of you!

China's high-speed rail network (gao tie) is pretty awesome in general and the trains run at similar speeds to those in Europe.

I was due to take the TGV from Paris to Barcelona a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately, coronavirus ended those travel plans :-(

I've also done the Trans-Siberian albeit the Trans-Manchurian branch of the line which is Moscow to Beijing all 7 days. That is definitely not as quick a train ;-)
