It's a good decision by Southgate and apparently had the backing of the entire squad. If you ask any of the players involved in England's so-called "Golden Generation" around the turn of the century they will tell you that one of the major problems for those squads was the division based on club loyalties. I don't see a problem with England teammates going hard at each other on the pitch but leave any disputes out on the field of play.
