Yes, right. I think there's less randomness happening than we like to ascribe but then not all patterns are created equal, some are just mimicking a sense of pattern without actually being a pattern. In any case, having this ability to observe patterns, be them real or not, is a useful sport to have another layer of understanding how things work. As they say, experience is the best teacher, most things we learn in a concrete way comes from what we've experienced.
