What drew me to this movie was the way the aliens are presented as a constant and omnipresent threat. Although they are not given much character development, their design is impressive and their presence in the film is always haunting. Furthermore, the film doesn't focus exclusively on the fight against the Buggers, instead exploring deeper themes like wartime morality and the nature of identity.

As for whether I would like to meet these aliens, I think it would depend on their intent. If they were peaceful and willing to communicate with us, I would definitely be interested in meeting them. However, if they were hostile and posed a threat to humanity, I would prefer to stay away.

As for whether I prefer funny or horror alien movies, I think it depends on the mood I'm in. In the case of Ender's Game, I think the film manages to find a balance between exciting action and the deeper themes it explores.
