Our Purpose is Built-In Us

1 Corinthians 2:7 NIV
“We declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden (the secrets about us and our glory that was hidden in God’s wisdom) and that God destined (ordain) for our glory before time (before the earth was created) began.”

God’s wisdom is revealed by the Spirit. The secrets about us and our glory was hidden in God’s wisdom. The reason we didn’t know about it is because we fell from dominion (kingdom) before God could reveal it to us. He (Spirit) reveals His secret about us, when we turn back to Jesus. This is what He meant in 1 Corinthians 2:10-12, “These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given (kingdom) us.”

Our Father who is in heaven, revealed His wisdom through Jesus and now through the Holy Spirit, so we can manifest the manifold wisdom of God. The kingdom of God was returned to us, even though the first Adam had failed and Jesus’ victory to return the glory to His children. We were created to lead, to rule, to manage, to govern, to subject or to dominate the earth. We were born with a leadership spirit that came from our Father who is in heaven. Our purpose is built-in us, which is the leadership spirit. In that one man (spiritual being in a dirt body), Adam, everybody was hidden. When God said, in Genesis 2:18, “It is not good for the man to be alone.” Alone means All-in-One. We were created to solve the “aloneness” problem. Adam was naming everything, including when he named the original intent of marriage, which was a male and a female. God did not create marriage, Adam did. To God, singleness (knowing who you are) is more important than marriage. Therefore, through His children, God wanted to extend heaven to earth, to fulfill our purpose or assignment, to learn, to develop, to progress, and to mature in the Spirit of Leadership.

Jesus was a good example of the spirit of leadership. When He was twelve years old, He knew He had a leadership spirit that He was born with. However, it took time to grow in wisdom (the word (Jesus) of God) and stature (quality, status, position gained by growth, development, or achievement), until He was 30 years old, when He was ready to expose the development of the spirit of leadership. He finished His assignment in three and half years. Now, that’s an effective spirit of leadership.

Today, our culture does not allow us to develop our spirit of leadership. We have a leadership spirit, but we must become a leader. Most leaders lack the spirit of leadership. We need to refine our own raw material. Also, with the help of the right and divine connection of people from God. The deliverers (independent people who entered power without training, right positioning, and without principles) cannot set us free, only Jesus or the knowledge of the truth. Leadership is an Art (skill acquired by experiencing, study, or observation like the art of making friends, a branch of learning: one of the humanities, liberal arts, learning, scholarship, an occupation requiring knowledge or skill like the art of organ building, the conscious use of skill and creative imagination). Deeply embedded in the nature of man is the spirit of rulership and leadership authority. (Dr. Myles Munroe) We need to be convinced of this statement because it is written in Genesis 1:26. Deep down, there’s a spirit of leadership in every man/woman. There is a natural inclination to lead, and to connect with the divine power of God. This is God’s will for us.

True and real leaders must lead to change (translate to social betterment) their environment and their context. In regards, to social injustice; a leader will not oppress or imprison people. Leaders set others free and bring deliverance. They are committed to the essence of life. They believe in the noble values of life and for us to rise up. They heal and release, not destroy people. They are a servant of humanity. They find a vision and a cause, not their bottom line or their pocketbook. Here are Seven Attitudes of the Spirit of leadership: They don’t wait (they make things happen), initiate change (instruct themselves, then others), they protect their characters, they have big visions (their head is in the cloud, but their feet are on the ground with compassion for people), be forward thinkers and ahead, but be in sight, shared values, and we can’t do it alone. We are driven with people and we need a team. Leaders live by examples, not instructions. Also, leaders make leaders, not followers. Our service is the greatest act of leadership, like King David. Today, develop your spirit of leadership and then make leaders. In turn, you have created an agent of change that will be able to influence their world around them. Be great! Just like God! Through the Holy Spirit, He will reveal all the secrets about you! God bless you!
