It is a hermitage founded by Doseong, a monk in 827 (King Heungdeok's 2nd year of King Heungdeok's reign), in Biseulsan Mountain, Yuga-myeon, Dalseong-gun, Daegu.
It is an annexed hermitage of Yugasa Temple, which belongs to the 9th parish of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, and is one of the three major meditation places in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
