I really like this 'style' of lightpainting, not just for the type of results, but also for the fun of it in creating the 'rigs' ... as much work as it is it can be 'fun' if you're doing it for the right reasons.

BTW, I saw your Timelapse zone community a while back, to which I'm hoping to contribute to as well... I've got tons of timelapses from past couple years... Need to do something with them. One other thing, I'm guessing the 'main' idea behind the edelkrone was timelapse or lightpainting when you decided on the kit? I'm always awed by the Ron Fricke style motion-control timelapses, but a slider could definitely be cool for lightpaiting(as evidenced here) not just for camera motion but for moving lights,tubes etc around... Coolest thing would be to have a full-fledged robotic arm (basically like The Marmalade's SPIKE) but that's getting a bit carried away... for now I guess I should still work on the hand-waving lightpainting technique but the sky really is the limit 😅
