Thanks @femcy-willcy! I kinda got the message he wasn't happy with me being there, even if he kept saying he didn't mind. But yeah, it was a bit understandable. Someone else said that people growing weed tend to have guns, and people going and stealing weed also sometimes have guns, so who knows what the reality is of the situation. It's not out of the imagination for that to happen. But also, another local kind of laughed when I told them what happened. Saying nobody's been killed like that on the island. Regardless, it's always good to respect people and their property, I wasn't trying to be a jackass or anything which is probably why the guy said it was okay for me to snap some pics - and then get out!
