For those of you who use Twitter, there have been reports of peoples privacy settings getting "altered" by Twitter, enabling all kinds of nasty "personalization" features such as targetted advertising, even on accounts where you have disabled these "personalization" settings.
Anyway, what you need to do, is go into settings, go to safety & privacy, click "Personalization and Data", and disable everything, then save the settings. When you are done, it should look like the screenshot below. You can get directly to this page by using this url, assuming you trust URL's from me.
Anyway, go forth and double check! Making sure that such tracking is definitely disabled is always worthwhile, as advertisers are not the most scrupulous about protecting your data!
