"Gundagai is a classic Australian country town located on the Murrumbidgee River between Sydney and Melbourne. It would have to be one of the most picturesque areas of the Riverina "
We stopped here on our trip last week.
I found on the internet what we could go and see in Gundagai,
http://www.visitgundagai.com.au/things-to-see-and-do/
We learned that there is a song about a dog that sat on his deceased owners tuckerbox (lunchbox) and guarded it to its last day.
It is a very interesting place to visit with a lot of history and Australian culture, from statues to buildings.
I recommend to everyone to make this stop and spend at least a few hours here when travelling from Sydney to Melbourne.
Here are some photos from our visit to Gundagai.
I hope you like my stop by stop, place by place posts from our trip. This was the first time we had been to these places and I am happy to share our experience.
Thank you for reading.
