I play splinterlands for almost three years now. I love the aspect of collecting cards while being able to achieve a passive income.
As we wait for the next set to be launched and the land expansion to unfold I wanted to generate some new streams of possible income.
Four games and therefore four ways came to my mind:
-) dCrops
-) dCity
-) risingstar
-) CryptoCompanyCEO
The last way mentioned might be the best path for the future. Why?
CryptoCompanyCEO is currently in closed beta, but everyone is already able to buy the ingame currencys SQM and CCD.
Holding those and doing some other stuff as mentioned on the games website gives you CCpower.
Players with high CCpower will start with some benefits when it starts.
Think about what would have happened, when you already had invested in the Beta and Alpha-Packs in splinterlands!
In this part I want to tell you how achieving passive income is NOT done:
dCity got quite popular and I heard a lot about it, therefore I wanted to try it.
The gameplay sounded easy: buy buildings and people --> get income.
So I bought some stuff from the market that has high income stats.
What happened? The income of my city turned negative! o.O
Unforunately I did not do my research: the game consists also of a possibility to establish taxes and the longterm players have higher chances becoming president. For them the high taxes are useful, because the process of inflating the SIM currency is slowed.
The good part, I did SOME research and bought job-centers to train new citizens. Currently this makes me around 500 SIM per day, but don't ask abut the initial investment...
What message do I want to get home?
Do your own good research before putting money in a new game. In case of doubt stick to the stuff you now: splinterlands ; P
