I'm stunned! What a happy and spontaneous experience you had in Rome! I love that you walked around the city and ran into these beautiful and unexpected sights along the way. I always believed that it's these little moments of spontaneity that sometimes leave us with the best memories. It's amazing you found two fantastic places that happen to be free! Yay!! But I totally understand your frustration with that unexpected hotel tax—such a bummer.
