The cigarette
Between our fingers/
The mint taste
That still lingers/
Kept us warm/
On cold nights/
Your car parked
Under streetlights/
Shoulders close
But never touching/
Eyes wandered
But always watching/
For signs
To cross the line/
Moments flirting
Past midnight
Not drunk
But I’m still high/
Lighted
By the moonlight sky/
Got me running
Out of my mind/
Thinking that
I’m wasting my time/
Bring me down
But you can’t deny/
What if
We could
Try.
