I may not be in time to participate in CineTV Community initiative #96: "My favorite money-related movie; and it is precisely a classic that appears as a reference in my mind: "The Big Short".
In 2008, I had just bought my first house, thanks to a mortgage credit opportunity for that time: down payment equal or superior to thirty percent (=/+30%), divided in 12 months, the rest, by mortgage credit in its modalities: subsidised or personal, made the mortgage market in Venezuela attractive.
That same year hundreds, if not thousands of people, suffered one of the worst collapses in the real estate market worldwide: the biggest economic recession of the 21st century in America and the second in Europe (Iceland, Greece and other countries), the trigger: The fall in real estate prices, large investors mortgaged their homes in order to obtain capital to leverage their businesses, not having the proper real estate backing, debtors had no way to pay their mortgages, the interests did the same: increase the debt, causing large bankruptcies of companies, banks, layoffs, spending cuts and of course, a fall in global GDP of alarming figures.
When I decided to study management, interesting terms started to appear frequently, or at least they caught my attention: bonds, swaps, mortgage loans, Stock Exchange, Forward Investments, financial derivatives such as SWAPs, Fowards, futures contracts, etc., terms that appear in the film and if you are not familiar with them, you might not understand what they say; don't worry, it happened to me...
I don't want to imagine the desperation experienced by hundreds of people in the United States and in European countries due to a rampant economic crisis, where unemployment, evictions and foreclosures caused chaos, increased suicide rates and even a decrease in the birth rate at that time.
I had to watch the film several times to understand some terms and understand how international financial markets work, the different types of risks in relation to the desired profit, as well as the terrible consequences in the face of unfortunate events.
Just one more thing, if you are going to invest in financial markets (securities or money) and cryptocurrency markets, bet or invest with money you are not afraid of losing.

Es posible que ya no me encuentre a tiempo para poder participar en la iniciativa #96 de la Comunidad CineTV: "Mi pel铆cula favorita relacionada con el dinero; y es precisamente un cl谩sico el que se aparece como referente en mi mente: "La gran Apuesta".
En 2008, reci茅n hab铆a comprado mi primera casa, gracias a una oportunidad de cr茅ditos hipotecarios para la 茅poca: inicial igual o superior de un treinta por ciento (=/+30%), fraccionada en 12 meses, el resto, por cr茅dito hipotecario en sus modalidades: subsidiado o personal, hac铆a atractivo el mercado hipotecario en Venezuela.
Ese mismo a帽o cientos, por no decir miles de personas, sufr铆an uno de los peores colapsos en el mercado inmobiliario a nivel mundial: la mayor recesi贸n econ贸mica del siglo XXI en Am茅rica y la segunda de Europa (Islandia, Grecia y otros pa铆ses), el detonante: la ca铆da de los precios de los inmuebles, grandes inversionistas hipotecaban sus viviendas a fin de obtener capital para apalancar sus negocios, al no tener el debido respaldo inmobiliario, los deudores no ten铆an c贸mo pagar sus hipotecas, los intereses hac铆an lo propio: aumentar la deuda, originando grandes quiebras de empresas, bancos, despidos, recorte de gastos y por supuesto, una ca铆da del PIB mundial de cifras alarmantes.
Cuando decid铆 estudiar administraci贸n, t茅rminos interesantes empezaron a aparecer de manera frecuente, o por lo menos llamaban mi atenci贸n: bonos, permutas, cr茅ditos hipotecarios, Bolsa de Valores, Inversiones a Plazo, derivados financieros como SWAP, Fowards, contratos a futuros, etc., t茅rminos que aparecen en la pel铆cula y si no est谩s familiarizado, puede ser que no entiendas bien lo que dicen; descuida, me pas贸...
No quiero imaginar la desesperaci贸n que vivieron cientos de personas en los Estados Unidos y en pa铆ses de Europa por una crisis econ贸mica desenfrenada, donde el desempleo, los desalojos y ejecuciones hipotecarias, causaron caos, el incremento en tasas de suicidio e inclusive, la disminuci贸n en la tasa de natalidad en esa 茅poca.
Tuve que ver la pel铆cula varias veces para entender algunos t茅rminos y comprender c贸mo funcionan los mercados financieros internacionales, los diferentes tipos de riesgos en relaci贸n con la utilidad deseada, as铆 como las terribles consecuencias frente a eventos desafortunados.
S贸lo una cosa m谩s, si vas a invertir en mercados financieros (valores o dinero) y mercados de criptomonedas, apuesta o invierte con dinero que no temas perder.
