if your gold is confiscated, it's only because this metal (infinite quantity in the universe, the galaxy, even in the solar system, including the moon and asteroids belt) would be necessary in a weapon system in massive scale... and as most of the time it's just a thin foil for space related with human activities... you are pretty safe, for now :).
