There is a theory which challenge official theory how moon originated. This theory says that moon is artificial made object empty interior. Theory says there are plenty of evidence about drilling on surface. It is based on response we received when we hit it with rockets. It responded like object which is empty inside. About flashing you describe I am not sure what is it, but I doubt it is what official explanation is saying.
