I guess we can't really measure significance, it's really subjective.
You didn't say where the money should come from, but it looks like your idea was 'from the content reward pool'
Personaly I wouldn't mind, but I expect a lot of 'authors' to be upset about the idea.
But that wasn't really my initial point.
What I was trying to say is, your design seems to suggest some more or less fixed interest rate for 'invested' funds.
While I'm proposing a different design, resulting in a (very) variabel interest rate for 'invested' funds.
Both designs are known and used in different projects, but well, both are different.
