How to use part of the vacation ... I didn't have a car at the time and my sister and I decided to visit Golubac. We contacted a guide who is a professor of history but also works as a guide. They get on the bus and we're on our way.It takes four hours from our place to Golubac. When we arrived with our guide, he suggested we boat ride on the Danube, to pass by the Golubac Fortress and enter a little into the Djerdap Gorge ...

Along the Danube, legends have been made for centuries .... Thus it is believed that the ancient Argonauts, led by the famous Odyssey, sailed the Danube in search of a "golden fleece" and the first past the Djerdap Strait. Aristotle, Herodotus wrote about him ...
We sailed by boat to meet the Fortress and the Djerdap Gorge.

We sailed to Djerdap and from across the country we see Romania and windmills. Golubac is the narrowest Danube and Romania is closest to us.

We return and see the Fortress in the distance ...
we enjoy navigating the Danube. It's warm so I cool my hand in the water ... and I like to feel the water under my fingers.

We also hung out with one family .... and the girl enjoyed keeping her hand in the water.

We say goodbye to the Fortress ...

The seagulls welcomed us ...
It was a fantastic ride and I will hope to see it again soon. At that time, the Fortress was closed to visitors! Today it has been refurbished and opened to visitors ... and it will be an experience to visit. 🤗
Thank you for visiting my blog
I wish you a nice day!☀️
