Forgotten times .....
I have written several times about the Castle in Vlajkovac ...
After a long time, I passed by it again and through the former incredible park ..... But in recent years, it also collapsed ..... slowly compared to the castle ..... The park used to have more trees, but a lot has failed. ..dried up and disappeared .... This is now just a shadow of the former beauty ... that also applies to the castle ....
The then Count Georg Močonji decided in 1859g to build a castle on the part where the big pond was. When it was finished, it was considered one of the most beautiful castles in Vojvodina ....
I researched a bit and came across a photo of the castle in its full splendor ...
I first took a picture of this screen and then adjusted it a bit ... but at least .... A little color, a little sharpness ....
Nothing too much ... Just to see that beauty ....
The count decided that all the beauty of the castle would be on the inside and that they would enjoy it ...
She bought the most beautiful one above the entrance, decorated with a trunk and stylized lilies .... As well as a massive entrance ...
It always occurs to me to wander those corridors ... maybe I will find something hidden that has survived for centuries and I was waiting to find it ....
In addition to reading adventure books and watching movies ... I saw myself as an archaeologist who researches the secrets of the past, finds treasures and solves mysteries ....
This castle is a mystery to me and one day I will go in to explore the little that is still passable ....
That's how it was ... in 1888, his daughter and heiress Georgina
Močonji marries Count Rudolf Bissingen ...
Then they decided to dry the pond behind the castle and planted trees and some rare species ... They also made a small lake with two islands and a lot of fish ...
I reach the park, the path leads over a bridge ...
The bridge is across the canal which I believe serves to drain excess water from that area .... and continues towards the lake ...
I am greeted by old huge trees and their best autumn attire ...
I take this path when I visit my friend because she lives right behind the park .... I can reach another path that goes through the village, but I always decide to go this path ... I like to walk by the lake and between these trees ....
And an unusual round fruit that reminds me of a walnut ....
I reach slowly to one end of the lake .... the sadness is how neglected ..... and despite the lack of maintenance, it somehow has some inner beauty for me, maybe a reflection of centuries ....
An abandoned boat surrounded by dry branches tells me that for a while they also rode the boat on the lake ... and since it was left to float sadly ... no one drives it anymore ... and it is one of the pictures of neglect, not worries. ..
It is also the end of the park .....
I can imagine what it used to look like, with young trees, a lake that was maintained and a lot of fish ...
Illuminated with paths arranged for walking...
Life in that castle was beautiful, apart from this estate, the count had a lot of land that was cultivated by 50 families, mostly of Hungarian nationality. And their salary was in kind, in grain, bacon, wood for the winter ......
The lawn was always tidy and mowed, the park was well maintained ....
And so time passed ... the family of Count Moconi lived well, they hid a library of valuable books, precious jewelry ...
That's how 1941, the Second World War, arrived .... And the family was expelled from the castle ...
And then the decline of the estate and the castle began ...
No one cared and maintained anymore ... Only different people passed by, and he served for various purposes ... as an orphanage, as an agricultural cooperative ... after them, a couple of families moved in, and lived until recently ... In 1989, the state placed the castle under state protection. So much only .... and she didn't make sure to repair the dilapidated building ....
So now every year it takes its toll ... More and faster because part of the roof collapsed ....
Monument of forgotten times ....
