Introducing: Susieisms on Steemit

Hello everyone!

I've been on Steemit since May 2017 and today for the first time, I post my picture with Steemit Logo and date.

We are on Vacation in beautiful Muskoka Ontario (My most loving husband and I) We are planning to swim, hike with our two dogs, metal detect and I'll do some Sudoku sitting by the lake.

Since Being On Steemit

I've tried many ways to increase my reputation and following.

at first I joined some Facebook pages, I'm sure it works for some, but I felt that it was consuming too much of my time; the obligations to visit both sites was a little more work than I was willing to put in.
I learned a lot during my first week watching @papa-pepper video series for beginners.
My current writing series entitled Illa is 3/4 complete now. It is about my mom's experiences that she wrote down about growing up during WWII.
For me, people come and go here on Steemit; others stick around. It is easy to miss posts on the feed isn't it?

My following mistake that isn't bringing in more votes

I follow those whos posts I find interesting, and I have noticed that they are not neccessarily my post audience. It isn't the best strategy to get rich on Steemit, but that is okay with me.

I do not advocate f4f.

A Lot has Changed Since I Joined Steemit

For one thing, I became unemployed for the first time in about twenty years. I really yearned for some down time, and I got it! Savings are draining, and I am on the hunt for new work.
I was introduced to Cryptocurrency and jumped into Etherium at $280 and cashed out at $550. That extra four hundred bucks came in handy! Thanks Steemit Members for posting about crypto.
Our town and subsequently, our basement, flooded since I joined Steemit.
