In a cold winter, some boys were playing along the river. Suddenly a boy slipped into the river, and was about to be flushed away. Another boy jumped into the river and saved that boy’s life.
But few decades later, the hero boy became a pastor, he was very regretted for his heroic behavior, as the name of the boy whom was saved was Adolf Hitler!
This was the story we were told by local guide when we visited Paccau, Germany. The guide pointed to one of the house cross the river and said Adolf Hitler used to live there for few years when he was young.
Not sure how true the story is, maybe it was made up to add attraction to local tourism, a story that people couldn’t easily forget for sure.
