I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your fear cometh;
Lady Wisdom mocks, and laughs. Ha-ha! You are not so tough now are you fool! Men terrorized with fear and suffering calamities are ridiculed and laughed at by Wisdom. Reader there is no cruelty here. Scorners and fools who chose to reject instruction, are made fun by the sound of divine justice.
It is said, "He who laughs best, laughs last". Reader do you know who laughs last, and who laughs best? The Lord Jehovah and Lady Wisdom. These are some of the most sober words you will find in the Bible, so this is no laughing matter dear reader, especially for you. Men will be destroyed without mercy if they refuse to listen to instruction. (Proverbs 1:20–32 ). Actually, in fact, Lady wisdom declares that those who choose to reject her must love death. (Proverbs 8:36 ).
Those who try to correct, teach and warn are laughed at by scorners and fools. They hate such people for trying to spoil their fun. (Proverbs 9:7–8 ). When fear floods their hearts, when calamity which is horrible lands on their heads, Lady Wisdom, who was the one who offered to save them, should be filled with ridicule and laughter as these individuals are destroyed. It seems only fitting.
The God of wisdom, and the view of wisdom, is not popular in this compromising and effeminate age. See below Scripture ...
