Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you.
Reader, today, can be a turning point in your life. Lady Wisdom is calling you to receive her blessing of instruction, which is free. Riches, life, peace and honor can be yours, if you accept her invitation which is reproving, and enjoy the feast that she has prepared for those men and women who want to be wise.
There is higher ground to which Lady Wisdom has called you, if you have turned towards wisdom. Know that you don't have all the wisdom that you need. Reader, you are not yet perfect. A wise man will attain unto wise counsels, he will increase and hear learning. ( Proverbs 1:5 ). Dear reader, for more, press forward!
Lady Wisdom cries for the fools to end their destructive and foolish ways of living. ( Proverbs 1:20–22 ). Before you appreciate Lady Wisdom's offer, how much more trouble and pain must you have? Lady Wisdom will cause your worse nightmares to come to pass if you slight her invitation. (Proverbs 29:1 ). Anguish and distress will be brought upon you by her. She will laugh at you instead of helping you in your time of need dear reader. (Proverbs 1:24–32 ). This is most definitely the certain truth dear reader.
To turn requires two things. Stop moving in the one direction, and start moving in a new direction. See below Scripture ...
You end foolish ways and habits. You start forward in righteous and wise ways. You reject wrong traditions, training and thoughts. You obey and learn godliness and truth. You kill and cut out things in your life that she does not approve of. To replace them you add approved things. You choose holiness and you reject sin.
Change is and can be difficult, and it takes conviction. However, in choosing to change and the little trouble that comes with it is nothing compared to the trouble that is coming your way if you do not change. If your new priorities are ridiculed by your former friends, leave them, ignore them. Let absolutely nothing hinder your turn.
Lady Wisdom, the personified wisdom, promises you two things...
and
She will respond with full affection to perfect and save you, if you accept her invitation which is sincere.
You should see Christ Jesus, who is filled with all the treasures of knowledge and wisdom. See below Scripture ...
Those who turn to Him He will pour out His Spirit, and He will teach them true wisdom. See below Scripture ...
Most men rush through life in stubbornness, ignorance and rebellion. The consequences of painful and dysfunctional lives are suffered by them now and judgement which is eternal, later. Why is this?
Because at various points in their lives when wisdom was offered they scorned at it. God blinded their eyes so that The Lord might destroy them. See below Scripture ...
What is a fool?
The Lord God of wisdom crushes fools with ...
Fool's might laugh today at wisdom's offer, but tomorrow wisdom will laugh at the fool’s painful calamity.
Spiritual men, those whom fear The Lord, this Proverb addresses. Only the righteous can heed and hear wisdom's call, though the rules of wisdom could benefit all men and women. Only those men and women who are turned by God can truly embrace wisdom, and turn from their folly. The Lord God has already turned your heart if you consider it. (Jeremiah 31:18 )(Lamentations 5:21 ) Now turn!
Dear reader, pursue wisdom! Buy it, and do not sell it. Practice it. Pray for it. Reject friends who are foolish. Your sinful ways must be hated by you. Love truth. Despise the ideas of the world and the world. Choose righteousness reader. Get rid of bad habits. Seek the kingdom of God first! Put your flesh to death reader!
God's way of drawing you back to Him is through conviction. Appreciate it, and understand it. If you choose to resist His conviction long enough, He will leave you to your own life, and to your own thoughts. You will think everything is fine, but dear reader be not mistaken, it will be the most terrible of predicaments. Think Judas. Think Saul.
God's promise is ...
The Lord Jesus Christ will come into fellowship with those that are truly repentant, if you open the door. (Revelation 3:19–20 ).
