Clothes are to cover our nakedness. And even more, they tell who we are and what we do. By the clothes one, you can tell a little of a person and even guess their identity.
An African man is who I am. When I look at the pictures of my people in their native attires, I greatly adore it. All the colors and the beads and fashion styles. Living in Nigerian where there exists different tribes, one of the easiest ways to tell us apart is our read code.
Well, you can't tell that so quickly since we all wear same thing now. The western outfit. But then, in times of festivities and cultural displays or should you attend an owanbe (wedding party), you get to see the Nigerian fashion beauty in all display.
For daily activities, our clothing's are mostly of Western descent. I like it too especially for the variety. Since I grew up in that fashion and having the thought pattern that the typical African wear is from wrappers/materials, I can't fully imagine what that line of dressing would be for me.
You know, since the western outfits have like different attires for varying events; for work, for school, the beach, the club, and a host of others.
But in spite, I would stick with my African heritage. With how fast things are evolving, it's appealing to see how creative fashion designers are becokijg wity our designers. What am I even saying?? You cannot see an African in his full regalia and not part your lips. It's always a beautiful sight. From head to toe, we give off a perfect look.
Talk about outfits that speaks class, exudes confidence and sophistication and talk about the African attires. Always on point.
And I'm here for it. Always!
