Throughout the week I’m to make several of these posts, detailing the content I enjoy and what I gain from it. It’s necessary to share what we enjoy and I want to do that with all of you. If you’re looking for something new to experience and are curious of what other content creators I flock towards, then I hope these chronicles can be of benefit to you! Every 48 hours or so I’ll have a new post with links and thoughts on each video/music/artwork etc.
Terence McKenna - The Winter King and the Alchemical Renaissance of Bohemia
Terence McKenna has been very influential towards me gaining a complete understanding of the interconnectedness of all things. This talk in particular is special with respect to the events that followed the fall of rome and the first iteration of the Western Soul. Learning about Bohemia, the Czech Republic, and the Alchemical Renaissance that was cut short puts some serious perspective into the world and where the main focal points were throughout history. Imagine if alchemy spread, having another decade to establish itself, and the king of bohemia not failing in battle and maintaining prominence; imagine the potential shift we could’ve seen in europe as alchemy overtook christianity, or really merged with it, and how much more basic sciences would’ve been discovered at an earlier point in time. Beyond just pure speculation, what’s important about this talk McKenna gives is that it leads a person to Alchemy itself and all of the esoteric knowledge embedded within it. Terence McKenna will open your heart, mind & soul to so much ancient knowledge that it will forever change you in the most positive way.
High-tax state Exodus
This is a small tid-bit of relevancy within the absolute scope of the shifting economy and marks an important lesson: wealth brings power and when that is pressured enough it will move. Wealth brings stability to individuals with increased income, providing coherent ground for people to stand on. In America we’re seeing wealthy folks begin to move towards the middle of the country because it is simply not worth living in places like New York and California. Both of these locations have high-taxes and large populations; while the culture and potential is immense in NY and CA, at a certain point its just not worth it for some folks especially when you do the math and realize how much farther your wealth will go just a few states over. I live in Ohio and it is veeerryy cheap to live here. The method to grow your wealth is to take advantage of points where you can obtain wealth with little effort; Buying cheap land and living on that land will make your investment in it go much farther. I’m very excited about Crypto for these reasons, as I’m hoping to buy land here around Ohio and West Virginia. As more people move away from the coastal cities, land within the interior of america will become more useful and more desired. All of this applies to any situation across the world, and I myself am thinking too about places like Thailand and Japan as those are likely to become prominent areas for crypto-backed wealth to establish itself.
Akibaranger Waifu Armor Power-up
Browsing the /m/ Mecha board on 4chan, I came across this video. I’m not that interested in Super Sentai shows, but any 90’s kid has seen their fairshare of Power Rangers which is a Super Sentai show. Super Mecha anime shares similar motifs and plot lines as super sentai, so I do enjoy this kind of this a bit. What get’s me is how corny and intentionally over-the-top this is; this guy literally powers up from his love and affection towards a fictional character. It’s hilarious! If you don’t understand what a ‘Waifu’ is, let me break it down for you; any female character from a game, book or show can be claimed as your ‘waifu’(wife) and It is openly acceptable to share and talk about this on popular online imageboards. It’s a great bit of internet and Otaku culture which doesn’t take it self that seriously. Sometimes you just can’t believe these things are real, but man this one surprised me!
*Maximillian Dood: Taki Reveal - Soulcalibur VI(6)
Maximillian Dood has the largest fighting game channel on youtube, and arguably one of the best streams on twitch. While I’m not huge into fighting games, they’re very enjoyable to watch and seeing people execute difficult moves is amazing. Max Dood is one of the few twitch streams I’ll regularly watch and I suggest you give him a shot. He uploads content every day and streams 5-6 times a week. Max doesn’t focus on just fighting games, but will do games like dark souls, monster hunter and loads of sega and classic nostalgic series. He’s one of the better content creators that I follow and I’m excited to see where he is in the next few years. Soulcalibur is looking great and I’d love to try it when it comes out!
Weird TV - Marty Chang
Within my close circle of friends, Marty Chang and Weird TV holds a special place. While I have not seen too much of the Weird TV Comedy series, it’s hard to obtain, the clips uploaded to youtube have all been a hilarious goldmine. The catchy one-liners and ridiculous antics make for a great time. But Marty Chang, is the blog post over? No it isn’t.
Anthony Fantano - Post Malone - beerbongs & bentleys
Akin to Maximillian Dood, Anthony Fantano is the most-viewed music reviewer on youtube, and by proxy the internet, and is one of my favorite content creators. Anthony does a wonderful job of giving both his bias and constructive reasons for why some piece of music is worth listening to. Anthony exposed me to some newer genre’s of electronica, metal and punk, and memes, so I often find myself coming back to his channel every week. If you’re looking for some new music to jive to, look through anthony’s reviews and I guarantee you’ll find something worth while.
In addition, I’m not that into Post Malone’s music but one cannot deny the popularity of some such thing. We all thought DOGE was a joke at first until people started making enough money from it to buy a car. However, Post comes off as being a genuine person with an open mind. His choice of tatoo’s and style are a bit sophomoric still, so it’ll be interesting to see how he changes over time. All things change and we cannot control this aspect of the universe.
Thai Suki Sauce
My girlfriend is Thai, so I’ve been learning more about Thailand recently and I’ve discovered this awesome sauce. Suki sauce is legit really good, blending the right amount of sweetness and spiciness. It has some interesting ingredients, and I plan on making my own soon. Try to make some of this yourself and if you every have the chance to try some I highly suggest doing so. Hot sauce is perfect for many dishes, especially eggs and meats, and works great for marinades. The heat-inducing capsaicin has some health benefits, specifically anti-inflammation, so it’s valuable to have a small amount in your diet. Inflammation is a major cause for disease and cancers, so reducing it any manner is important.
