First off, this is an awesome site and platform. I'm glad to be part of the community.
My purpose for being on here is to provide solid content which brings a sense of joy to others. This is my main, direct to the center, goal at hand. Of course informing, analyzing, critiquing, assisting, entertaining, will all be part of the mix, to me art's(which is what many of us are doing here) primary task is the one of delivering joy. I'll discuss more about this thoroughly later.
Why "The Superfluous Man" you might ask?
It origins are from a 19th century Russian literary archetype, although my understanding of what it means comes from an obscure or rather forgotten individualist/anarchist in todays world—Albert Jay Nock. People like to dwell on the injustices and insanity in their environment and I don't necessarily blame them, but like Nock, I have found that if I can embrace my superfluous-ness I am better equipped to being more human in an unfree world.
During leisure, I like to spend most my time on intellectual pursuits and surfing. I think those compliment each other nicely. Don't be fooled! The mind and body are one.
