This prompt is one I will not like to miss as a hivean who has been here for a while now. I see hive and my friends here ad my virtual family, and before this, I was once a Newbie here on Hive and can tell you that my journey till this time was never an easy one.
I can tell you today that I got to were I am today and made lots of friends here on hive because of how I was so patience from when I joined hive, and have also put lots of work because I believe that every good thing comes with putting lots of work, which is being diligent and perseverance
I could also tell you that when I first joined hive as a Newbie, I was discouraged initially due to many reasons, but one thing with life is that are not supposed to “Reap Where We Did Not Sow”. This is indeed is simple understanding is that, we need to put in some work in life to be able to enjoy in our “Latter Rain”.
Its very obvious that Hive Blockchain is place of earning, a place we can create various kinds of content and earn, but we all do also know that Hive Blockchain is a place one needs to do a lot of hard work to be able to earn. Not just creating contents, but how about the engagements, through exploring communities to get to know and contribute to various activities that creates opportunities for Newbies and awareness of them being here on hive?
Newbies believing hive blockchain is a earning place just join hive and expect to start earning immediately once they create one content or two here. And once their content did not get upvote, they feel the need to leave because they lacy patience, perseverance, foresight to know what next angle to take.
The idea in the Newbies head-and mindset is just how to come here and start earning immediately, or that their content should regularly be updated because of how financial benefits are all they care about. But this not how it works here on hive since their are set down rules which only those with hive interest at heart go a long way to check out.
For hiveans who are truly hive family, hive is more than a place for financial benefits. How about the knowledge we get here, leaning new things from other hivers ? . How about the support support we we get and give? The connection and the investment system that hive has to help us build the future? I have made lots of connections here just by exploring communities apart from my permanent communities where I belong as a member. I have also gained more knowledge just by being on hive.
The Newbies are not being patience enough because of they are not telling themselves the truth. Who goes to a farm that does not belong yo hm to harvest? Only the farm owner because he or she has cultivated and sow.
Another thing why the newbies leave hive is that many finds it difficult to even create content. And not just creating content, but creating original contents which will help them to earn. So with this and lack of motivation, patience and understanding to stay and learn from others here, they leave. Blogging is one job that is
not easy, especially if you don’t have flair for writing ✍️. Or create other contents like cooking 🥘 in the gastronomy communities.
Hive is such s big place with many communities, so its a place one must find what interest them, unless if the person did mot come to stay, and there is no amount of advice the Newbie will accept. So its very difficult to even want to encourage anyone. So I believe that what they need is encouragement for those who even want to stay since interest is the key to everything in life and nothing comes easy.
