Quite an intersection topic from #hiveleaners to end featured content of this week. Interesting indeed because we are here talking about reunion of both childhood friends and classmates. One that brings lots of old memories alive . Both the good and bad memories. Haha 😀
The first thing here about get-to-gather like this is the excitement everyone will feel , which is one big opportunity for each and everyone to be in the best of the mood. So I see everyone being happy 😊, feeling the energy of seeing old friends and classmates after many years. The laughter, hugs , greetings of all kinds and even those you were really closed with then might remember you with other names that stuck to their heads then.
So, the first thing that will happen in the room or hall is pleasantries which might take some hours, because as adults now many of us might have changed facially, others in stature and way of dressing. Basically, many might not recognize others, but as we begin to settle down, memories of the past gradually start coming back, especially if the gap of haven’t seen one another has been long.
Waoh! I see this as something that will bring good experience yo everyone because I have childhood friends and classmates I lost contacts with. This gathering will bring many of us together, giving us the opportunity to now connect back from where we are now and to also help unite many who were not in good relationships before parting ways years ago.
I mean, we can not shy away from all the harbored feelings or all the malice we were carrying before we lost contact because we all know what childhood is like. When we use to fight over little things because of lack of understanding then. And because we lack understanding and not fully matured, many of us still carry this unforgiving spirit. But after so many years of not seeing one another, I feel its an opportunity to seat again in one room.
For me, I feel that the gathering can be lively for all day, depending the time given for the togetherness to last. Because after pleasantries, everyone has to engage with one another. And its not just going to be one person for the whole day, since we have childhood friends and classmates called Alumni 👩🎓. So after greetings, we start to engage one another, which is the real deal. Everyone will like to know where the other has gotten in life. And others who are not moving on properly in life will want to connect with those who has better opportunities.
This is why you see that many old students association are doing very well, especially in this present time . And old friends association are also picking up, because people wants to stay together from where they coming from than making new friends. Although we know that many usually will move from one destination to another once they are grown, finished school and start to push for their careers. But there is nothing like staying together with people you grew with.
The problem with many of us is not forgiving one another. I mean, we should let some ugly past memories disappear in our lives and stay connected because we don’t know where help will come from. I have seen big old girls students association helping themselves to the extent of paying big hospital bills for anyone of them sick. And some were even based Abroad. I have also seen childhood friends association helping themselves to burry their aged fathers if anyone of them lost their aged father or mother.
In my final conclusion, I see the old camaraderie able to reignited within the time limit given to them because maturity is something that is built among grownups especially in this era where we are more civilized, focusing on the things that will help move us forward and not anything that will drag us back. So every differences will definitely be settled within us while in the same room, apologies given and accepted. This is the only way the future becomes brighter for everyone.
