Hello hivers and learners 💕.
It’ should not be something we are just learning from humans when it comes to showing kindness, that there is nothing ever free in life. This is one big lesson we should have in mind, especially when receiving kindness from a distant person that is not related to you, because its in the nature of man to always want to get back for giving.
So its very simple that some people will always use their hidden agenda to use anyone who comes there way asking for help. Or that some can even go to the extreme of offering you help just because they certainly will benefit from the help. Am not saying here that we don’t have charitable souls again in the world 🌍, but with this era of the social media, people have devised a way to use others for clout chasing , which may entirely not be bad because of what they leave behind in the other person.
For me personally, I have received help many times from people I know and from others I do not know. I have also from time to time rendered kindness to many others without having anything in mind, because that is what charity stands for. Helping others and receiving from others which makes the world 🌍 go round
The Need For Clout Chasing:
When it comes to clout chasing, I have seen some celebrities who used kindness to amass followers because they needed to grow their page for the purpose of brand deals from bigger companies, so they go into the public in a strategic way sharing gifs to the less privilege or visiting orphanage homes with intention of putting it out to the media
Then, I have also seen other celebrities who genuinely wants to help people, and by putting it all out in the media, they through this means start getting the attention of the rich 🤑 people who will willingly donate through them to reach out to the poor. I personally know of someone, a big Nigeria 🇳🇬 celebrity who donates money 💴 to older women for small businesses. Through this means, she started receiving large amounts of money from many rich individuals. And up till date, she has continued to amass followers. I see this kind of chasing of clout as something total not bad because out there, people do really need help. And if they get help just by elevating the other person is a give and take for me.
Where I have problem is with the people who wants to subdue others because they need help from them. And after helping them , they will announce it among their friends. I have many of these kind of people around me. In fact, they will not give you help without involving those that will praise them. So doing something in secret for others is not in their record. This is not kindness for me. But this does not mean that every kindness must be in secret. It all depends who is involved
However, I will always be grateful to receive help from people who have the intention of helping me out while also wanting one assistance or the other from me because that is what life is all about. As long as the help am getting will help elevate my situation, then I don’t see it as clout chasing since I gained something. I see life as give and take , which most times brings breakthroughs in many peoples life.
In conclusion, its only because we are seeing many of this acts in social media. Many people who are rich have subdued many poor people outside social media. Using them without giving them what will benefit them in life because they don’t want them to succeed.
