Modification of babies even before they are born is entirely another new level of what science can do if this becomes a reality with time as the future of technology continues to offer humanity a chance with change.
Parents having the power to select the looks of their kids as regards to the height, blue, green or purple eyes and even how intelligent they will become while still pregnant 🤰will be one great achievement through science because that is why change is the only thing that is constant. But why would science go this far ?
The choosing of gender of a baby was one big achievement from many years ago. And according to the current study 📚, 82.95% and 86.79% can become successful in the selection of the gender of babies, which practically means that parents can choose to have a girl or a boy child 👧, which I see as something worth doing because having both sex of kids in a family, selection being done by using the diet method or ovulation time. And this has worked in most developed countries where there are professional medical personals. Although, currently, the only guaranteed way to select the sex of your baby is through preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
I will be among those that will support anything that will give parents the joy they deserve when it comes children, but I will not be in support of any thing that can cause a child not to live a normal life after they are born and growing. Although, science and technology has done too many great things, but I see this level of parents deciding the kind of baby to have is very extreme.
I mean, God created man naturally. Some came as black, others white in color. And genetic has continued to do its work where DNA proves the genre of a baby. How then can science and technology continue in this proofs if a parents decide the height, eye colors, intelligent and other things about their unborn child. This automatically takes many things away from the baby as regards to genetic.
I feel this will prove that man is truly insatiable. This will show how humans has become desperate in the quest to become God. We should be concerned on how will this steps affect the child in the future even though we might not see anything wrong with it now because science and technology will continue to device the next level to go to called change.
I could still remember growing up as a teenager when mothers do not know the sex of their babies. I mean, they do not even care because their was no way to obtain any information. So they just wait naturally , until the baby is born. This then is the greatest joy of the parents who never know the sex of their baby. And usually, a big surprise for everyone because of how everything is a secret.
How then can parents spend so much money to decide how their children will look? How about if things did not turn out the way the expect? Although, this might only be for the rich which certainly will create inequality around the world 🌎. But who does care for this, because many who can not live to this standard, will believe that having a normal baby is still the best in life.
In conclusion, we should not allow science and technology to go overboard, turning humans into merchandise of any kind because this might cause a problem for the world 🌍 where children are seen as being manufactured instead of being a natural gifts and blessings. Science and Technology should be channeled properly to what will better mankind.
