I took a walk around the gardens throughout my yard on two different days to take some photos of a few bird houses covered in snow. The birds use them all winter long to sit inside to warm up, especially on sunny days. Otherwise they take sanctuary from the wind in my Alberta Spruce pine trees. The dense snow covers the gumdrop shaped trees to keep them nice and cozy from the wind.
It is a winter wonderland here in NY and we have 8 - 12 inches more arriving by Monday morning. Oh yeah, it's going to be fun!
Below the birds are coming for their mid-day feast on cracked corn, suet and birdseed. They fly back and forth from one bird house pole to another and chase each other away from the food. They are a delight to see every day and sure put a smile on our faces.
Until next time, this is Sunscape...
