Slugs are a pesty little creature. I used Diatomaceous earth last year for them and pill bugs. This year, I saved eggshells and crushed them to put around the pea plants. So far, not too much damage until I saw a chipmunk chewing the tender tops. sigh... easier to buy frozen peas, lol.
