That's a cool list of plant diseases wintering over. I too make sure to clean out all the plant material before winter. I rarely have any issues on the plants. Vine borer is the biggest bugger with the zucchini, but that's another story. Too bad about your beet crop, I know you were hurting a lot at that time. BTW, those are nice looking leeks that would make a great leek and potato soup. ;-)
