I don't feel you are being a Debbie Downer at all, just stating how you are experiencing the present economy. I think that you are looking at it practically and being cautious which is what many of us should be doing.

It is hard on a retirement income to save much as inflation has continued to rise and now we too watch carefully what we buy. If it wasn't for growing so much of our vegetables and preserving them, I think our grocery bill would be outrageous. We had a very unexpected plumbing expense last month that will set us back for a few months to pay it off. So, I feel your concern and your thoughts. We wish for a prosperous and healthy 2024 for all. ♥
