I have to agree with you on the waste created around Christmas celebrations. I started gifting homemade cookies and bread years ago to family and friends. I do my best to make about 12 varieties of fancy cookies and some biscotti. The cookie trays are so festive and everyone enjoys them. Afterall, at our ages what do we need with more stuff, right?
