How cute is this little one taking a bath in my backyard pond while its parents feast on the cracked corn? It never ceases to amaze me every year when the different flocks of birds visit the birdfeeder. Below is a variety of them that have landed for a mid-day feast.
I have not had a moment to post many things this past couple of months due to having a 2 month old puppy. I am taking a moment now to share some of this summers photos of the birds.
I love watching them all come to the pond to have a quick splash while chasing the frogs into the water, lol.
This one is just coming in for a quick sip of water after having some corn and birdseed.
These two are both sunning in my garden with their wings spread out. I have seen many of the birds do this during the summer months. Funny that I have never seen that before this summer season.
Here is one of my resident crows taking off after he captured a peanut that I threw to him. I don't know if you like crows, but, I so enjoy all their daily anticts in the yard. They come and wait for me to feed them their afternoon peanut feast if they see me sit on the porch. Now, that shows me how smart they are. You have to appreciate how amazing nature is when you interact with them on a daily basis.
