Nice that you have good help to get so much done. You have a huge amount of work to do on that farm.

RE: Picking Strawberries - June 22, 2026@goldenoakfarm
At least you were able to get some berries. I totally missed the season this year. If I got on the ground like you did, I would have a hard time getting back up, lol.

Thank you, @coinjoe. Tomatoes are an easy crop to grow; you should do well with them.

RE: Itβs Finished! - June 19, 2026@goldenoakfarm
Slugs are a pesty little creature. I used Diatomaceous earth last year for them and pill bugs. This year, I saved eggshells and crushed them to put around the pea plants. So far, not too much damage until

Nice! You found some good bargains. Too bad about picking berries, though.

I'm so happy that he came to the realization that it is just useless noise. Being present with you and the grandbaby is more important than watching someone else's BS scroll by. Memories happen moment

RE: Moving Hay, Pickles, Planting - June 16, 2026@goldenoakfarm
I'm so envious that you got to make scape pickles. All my garlic rotted over the winter. It looks like your garden is really taking off now. Yay, harvesting begins soon!

I hope you get them all planted today. Every day, I see growth and a different flower blooming. It really is pretty right now.

Thank you for the nice comment. Having nice gardens takes a lot of time and hard work. Now that I'm 30 years older, I wish I had fewer to care for. lol

I was so excited to see the honeybees drinking. It sure made my day. Cabbage moths are awful, thus the reason I always grow under netting. So good so far!

It amazes me how many different shrubs, trees, and flowers you have growing on the farm. I had evening primrose many years ago, and the bright flowers were such a nice addition to the garden.
