I have a hard time catching the small birds too as they do flit about so quickly. You got some great shots. I have never seen a duck with a band before.

I totally understand the pulling back I also lost my parents one after the other and it took a lot out of me to take care of their belongings, etc. It was a hard 2 years and I finally just pulled the plug

So true, we are always evolving for sure otherwise what would be the point. I spent summer weekends on a lake growing up and it got in my blood. I am always near the water but never have I lived on it.
