It's Still Snowing
We just got another round of really wet snow with this last nor-easter that rolled across the states. Two days before I was out raking off leaves from the flower beds in a t-shirt as I had noticed that the Daffodil bulbs were beginning to push up through the soil. Today, it is only 30掳 F but the sun is shining brightly helping to melt the snow once again.
With only 8 days until Spring officially arrives I am getting anxious to be outside every day playing in the gardens. This winter seemed extra long to us. My husband and I both got the virus over the holidays and then it turned into viral pneumonia. Being locked in for over 2 months was a lot to handle. We are both excited to see the weather breaking as we love to be side by side working out in the yard.
Daffodils
Besides a few Crocus that sprout up here and there, the Daffodil varieties I have are always a favorite flower of mine in early spring.
These photos are from last year's flowering that I am sharing with you today. Who doesn't enjoy seeing these cuties when they begin blooming all around town. It just makes one's heart happy somehow.
I adore the frilly petals on this white and yellow Jonquil. The sun backlighting the flower makes it almost translucent. Oh so pretty!
Lastly I present this white beauty dressed in freshly fallen raindrops. I hope you enjoyed seeing a few of my Daffodils and perhaps I will share this year's photos when they finally bloom. Of course hopefully sooner than later. Goodbye, winter!
Until next time, this is Sunscape
