They had a case here a few weeks ago where someone failed to use their signal when turning. Once you viewed the video, it was obvious, for whatever reason, they had it out for the occupants of that car. Anyway, the dudes in the car pull into a private driveway, and they asked the passenger for ID, he refuses. They tried to say because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt they had a right to ask him for ID. Thing is, they never brought up the seat belt issue until they approached the car, even started the reason for pulling them over was because they refused to signal. When the guy told them he unbuckled it when he saw them approaching, remember, he's on private property now, doesn't even matter anymore, but they proceed to beat the hell out of the guy to try get him out of the car, including a knuckle punch to his face. When they finally, and it took more than one cop to remove him, forced him out, he fell on top of one of them breaking their leg. Usually I don't dive into these comments when stuff like this happens too much because you have to use FB to comment on local blogs, and that could bring problems, and over the years I've noticed doxxing type of remarks in that regard so I shy away from it but this time, it was plain obvious the cops were in the wrong. I didn't care if that guy was on their top ten list of people they didn't like that week, they had no justifiable reason to do that to him. Last week the prosecutor came out and said they were dropping the charges because a video surfaced of one of the cops involved talking about getting arrest quotas, which there is no such thing, and the prosecutor said it just wasn't a good look. Yeah, sure, whatever way they set it up to dig themselves out of that hole because it was a huge hole they dug themselves.
