My son copped to two domestic violence situations, the first one I just thought he wasn't telling the truth because she was always so nice and convincing, despite I had always told them you never hit a woman, and I honestly felt they never would, he was the type who'd hit a wall before he'd hit anyone, but like I said, she was just so sweet and convincing. The second time I hired him an attorney. Because I was riding him to work that day while their car was getting repaired. I got there and she opened the door and said he was sleeping and she couldn't wake him. I left but I didn't even make it home (seven minute ride) when he called and said he was running because she called the cops on him and to come get him. I got there and he said she came in the room, dumped cold water on him, jumped on top of him and started slapping him. He rolled her off him, he got up and she just kept hitting him so he held her against the wall by her arms, which left two tiny bruises from his hands on her arms. I know there was no way he went from a dead sleep she couldn't wake him from to running from the cops without having been provoked within a seven minute timeframe. But, he took the rap, both times, because he didn't want her to go to jail. Since this was the second time, is why I got him the lawyer. But having since lived with her a couple times over the last two years periodically, I've learned exactly how she plays people, she can be a evil person one minute, turn around and charm the socks off someone the next.
