That's a really crucial point to make. With depressives despair is often hidden in secrecy. When I was in the program I was describing to Taz a few seconds ago, medications never worked for me. One of the huge reasons why is because what happens to an individual during their lifetime can't be erased, or so one thought. I cried so much during that thirty days that they said if I didn't snap out of it they would try to electrify me across the way, which was a building they used for electrotherapy. Most people wouldn't even look at me and know I am a depressive, about the closest it would ever get in appearance was swollen eyes from crying in silence. You just get back up after getting it all out and tell them your cat died or something, otherwise they'd be there for thirty days listening to you, which they wouldn't appreciate unless they needed the thirty day treatment talk. I am diagnosed with more than just being a depressive but I am open to talking about the depression aspect because, in reality, a lot of you know me from years of being on here and probably wouldn't have thought it. That's how hidden mental illness can be because there is no physical attributes to it and it's easy for people not to be open about it because of the stigma attached.
