One other thing I just got reminded of seeing a headline of it. Elon Musk can't just say deleted. Congress has the power of the purse and when money is allocated it has to stay in that format it was allocated for until a request is put in before a special commission to request use of it for something else. Musk has no control over that. He has to go through the same procedures as anyone else and he can't just arbitrarily shut down government departments.
