Fauci is the face for those behind the funding. This is where people continually get confused thinking that Fauci can just run all over the government and spend taxpayers dollars any way he chooses. He can't. Congress allocates money for him to run his department and fund program that have been approved through committees. He can't for instance, say something along the lines of "I am going to take this million dollars granted for the study of if frogs could be gay and give it to China for gain of function research". Any chances not put forth by congress congressional funding have to go through another set of committee hearings before those changes can be approved by Fauci, meaning he sought approval for the change, was granted the change, signed off that the change has been approved. That's the real cover up, his face. Until he starts talking, and I am sure he won't unless he likes dirt, the real truth of whose behind gain of function, corona, the pandemic, the vaccine development, the harms, the deaths, is never going to get told. One day when he finally meets his pile of dirt, those secrets will get dirt piled on top of them too as they get buried with him.
