The last few months I've been going through a lot after taking in my son and his family. Second time I've had to do it but this is the younger son this time and the alcohol drinking is way out of control, once they start drinking its like it energizing them into energizer bunnies. My mom was the same way, could go for days drinking. So far days hasn't happened here but all nighters of never shutting up can reek on the nerves. Especially when someone is use to peace and quiet. Hopefully they'll be out next week. I never thought as much talking as I've done to the both of them to frame it into a fashion such as you mentioned, "You don't realize it when you're growing up, you're also watching your parents grow up themselves." The way I look at it any words of wisdom is worth a try, you can only hope something you say or do will click.
