To be fair I was basing the price on a nature center I took my kids to when they were young to see how maple syrup was made. We did purchase a bottle of it but I didn't really care for it, it might taste good if I was starving. It was expensive but it was a real backwoods operation. I've seen it priced in stores much lower than we paid but still quite expensive.
