You reminded me of about a year and half ago when I had to take in my son's family after a fire in their attic where they rented. They put several trash bags full of clothes at the top of the steps in a corner near the bathroom. She kept saying she needed to sort through those to determine what they'd take to storage and what they'd keep for the winter. Meanwhile she keeps looking around and asking if anyone seen a tote she brought that had wet clothes in it from the washer at her old house. She said she didn't have time to dry them before they vacated. After about three, four weeks I got tired of the pile and decided to just take all the bags up to the attic and tell her whenever she found the time she could go get them. I found the tote at the bottom of the pile and needless to say it wasn't pretty nor did it smell pleasant. When she came home from work that day I told her I didn't know exactly what was in that tote that she wanted but I highly doubted she'd be interested in it anymore. lol.
